How to Take Care of Your Espadrilles?
Your Espigas accompany you everywhere, and that's a good thing! But after trekking around the beach or in the city, they will inevitably get dirty.
To remove stains or dirt from the fabric, use a toothbrush soaked in a mixture of warm water and Marseille soap... of course, or gently dab the stain with a damp cloth. Let them air dry.
We recommend that you avoid machine washing your shoes, even on a cold cycle (max 30°C), as this can damage the fibers and fade the colors much more quickly than if you care for them by hand!
If you get an oil stain, use Sommières clay (a powder made from clay that absorbs stains). Sprinkle the stain as quickly as possible and leave it to work for a few hours before gently brushing.
Do not place your shoes near a heat source or in direct sunlight to dry them, as this may cause discoloration.
